The "Divine Comedy" - great creation. Wrong. Nice try.

Dante had failed. It turned out that he had described a spiritual concept but not facts. History of mankind consists of many failed attempts to find final truth. That we try and fail does not diminish the greatness, the genius, the merit. This is my sincere opinion.

In the contrary. I believe that really great personalities try out things which are too difficult, too big, hopeless from the beginning to the end - and sometimes too dangerous to be successful. There are people who only start things they can finish without any risk. Fine. But not great. Personally I am not interested in those. Dante wasn't. Think of Goethes theory of colors. A gigantic failure, which made Goethe bigger - not smaller.

The "Divine Comedy" is a great poem. It shows our thirst for insight into the structure of the universe. It shows human struggle. It shows us stepping ahead. Step by step. It is a great experience.
